More uplifting than it is depressing 'Welcome to Lagos' follows several Nigerian men through their lives in mega city and capital- Lagos. Over 11 million people inhabit this city and many live in intense poverty, earning more than £4 per day is considered a fortune. And yet the tone of the programme somehow spins it in this unique manner, people live on the rubbish dump, spending all day sifting through detritus gathering any recyclable materials and selling them onto companies. Because of the growing popluation out at the dump Hairdressers, chefs, and people selling clothes have moved into the area, creating a community that live by respect and longstanding agreements.
